Product Designer

Remote

About the role

Compliance software has a reputation for being dense, confusing, and painful to use. We're building the opposite — a product that makes complex regulatory requirements feel manageable and even intuitive. As a Product Designer, you'll be responsible for making that vision real across every surface of the StackTalk platform.

This is a part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week) that's fully remote. You'll collaborate asynchronously with our engineering and product teams, with regular syncs to align on priorities and review work. We're looking for someone who can work independently, move quickly, and bring a strong point of view to every design decision.

What you'll do

  • Design end-to-end user experiences for StackTalk's compliance platform — from regulatory dashboards to audit workflows
  • Translate complex compliance concepts into clear, usable interfaces that both compliance officers and product teams can navigate
  • Create high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes in Figma
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and quality across the product
  • Collaborate with engineers on implementation, providing specs and guidance to ensure design intent is preserved
  • Conduct user research and usability testing with compliance professionals and fintech operators
  • Shape the visual identity of new features and product areas as we expand

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, or data-heavy applications
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong interaction design and visual craft — particularly for complex, information-dense interfaces
  • Proficiency in Figma, with experience building and maintaining design systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively in a part-time, remote setup
  • Strong communication skills for asynchronous collaboration — you document decisions, share context proactively, and give clear feedback
  • Interest in the fintech or compliance space — you don't need to be an expert, but curiosity goes a long way
  • Experience with data visualization, dashboard design, or workflow tools is a strong plus
